Our 2003 Road Trip:

The original idea for a road trip stemmed from a very good friend of ours getting married in Malibu, California in late July. Mike had the honor of being the best man, so we were obligated to do at least a little traveling. Our trip down to California prompted the idea of taking "the road less traveled" on our way back. Originally we were simply going to stop to see some friends and family along the way. Then Nicki thought it would be fun to see Yellowstone. We quickly realized that the Grand Tetons were very near Yellowstone, and therefore an obvious place to stay also. Finally, we figured we should take the extra day to see the Grand Canyon, since we were going to be in the area already. Quickly, the little trip down to California turned into a 19-day travel plan.

Below you can find our original travel plan (itinerary), a whole bunch of pictures, our travel logbook, expenses, maps and some relatively interesting facts.
